What it says it does:
The SQDAthletica Freedom Shorts are made from lightweight and water resistant fabric and claim to provide unprecedented comfort and mobility. The all direction flexibility allows movement without restriction and laser cut ventilation side panels assist with airflow. There is a perforated gusset panel at the crotch, which also provides breathability during workouts and reduces rubbing and irritation. This flexibility is said to make these shorts perfect for any high intensity workout.
The Freedom Shorts literally feel like the name suggests, free. The back zip pocket is super handy for stashing my keys while exercising and the internal flex pocket perfect for my card, leaving me hands free.
How I tested it:
I usually run around Kangaroo Point at least three times a week, so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to put these shorts to the test.
How it looked:
The Freedom shorts have super clean lines, and a casual, relaxed sporting feel for a washed up sporty dad like me. They could easily take me from the gym to the school pickup without looking like I’ve just done a workout.
How it felt:
Feels good 60% of the time every time haha. These shorts felt super comfortable and didn’t cling to any unwanted areas, they were lightweight and kept me sweat-free throughout the run and the rest of my day.
How it held up:
SQD always seems to deliver – these shorts are great, considering I’m a pretty active dad, constantly chasing after Sam and Jake. Anything that can withstand my two boys is definitely a winner!
These shorts are my new go-to. Especially coming in to the warmer weather, I’ll definitely be reaching for these on a daily basis for any kind of workout.
